Waldesruh — Georg Lendorff

Deutsche Oper Berlin – Waldesruh

Video installation for Triadic Memories by Morton Feldman

Music theatre by Anna-Sophie Mahler, based on her research on the topic of the forest. She spans an arc from the romantic image of the forest, the place of tranquillity, longing and fears, to the economic use of forests and the current state of research on the interaction of plants, fungi and creatures in the forest.

In addition to music by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss, arranged by Michael Wilhelmi, the second part of the evening is marked by the composition Triadic Memories by Morton Feldman. The pianist Stefan Wirth plays the 60-minute piece accompanied by room-filling projections by Georg Lendorff.
