UNFLUENCER – DE-SINNING THE DESIGNER entstand in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zürcher Taschen-Label FREITAG. Die Installation wurde auf Einladung des prestigeträchtigen Ausstellers Ventura Centrale in einem Viaduktbogen unter dem Mailänder Hauptbahnhof gezeigt. Sie basiert auf der immersiven Lichtskulptur “First Light” von Georg Lendorff, welche 2018 erstmals gezeigt wurde.

UNFLUENCER – DE-SINNING THE DESIGNER is the result of a close collaboration with the Swiss Design Label FREITAG. The installation has been featured at the prestigious VENTURA CENTRALE exhibition nearby the Milano Centrale station. UNFLUENCER is based on Georg Lendorff’s acclaimed video sculpture First Light from 2018.

UNFLUENCER hat zum Eintauchen in eine begehbare räumliche Videoinstallation und zum Sinnieren über schlechtes und gutes Design eingeladen. Die Besucher wurden auf verspielte Art aufgefordert, ihre Sünden als Designer und Konsumenten zu beichten, zu Papier zu bringen und ein Gelübde zur Besserung abzulegen.

UNFLUENCER entwickelte sich zu einem der populärsten Events am Fuorisalone 2019, rund 10’000 Besucher gingen durch die Installation und die Medien nahmen die Arbeit begeistert auf.

Gewinner des 2020 FRAME AWARDS Jurypreises in den Kategorien: “Exhibition of the Year” und “Best use of Light”.

DAMNº SELECTS THE BEST OF MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2019

The collaboration between Freitag Lab and Swiss video artist Georg Lendorff flipped Milan Design Week on its head.

An immersive experience, visitors floated in a volumetric video projection and light installation. Thousands of threads hung from the ceiling with the goal to dissolve visitors’ sense of space and time, and at the same time allowed them to confess their design and consumer sins without the need for any Hail Mary’s.
