First Light — Georg Lendorff

First Light – Video Sculpture

Immersive Video Installation

First Light is a accessible video installation by Georg Lendorff. Projections on thousands of suspended threads create a floating volumetric image. Viewers can walk into the volume in order to experience a perception of hyperspace where dimensions are set in motion and time and space are blurred. A poetical experience immersing visitors in the installation, where they become a part of the overall picture.

First Light was first presented as a site-specific installation at the Sollbruchstelle 04 exhibition in Zurich in 2018. First Light has been seen by some 100’000 visitors during the Lille3000 exhibition Colors, etc. in 2021 and has become the base for the highly successful UNFLUENCER installation at Milan Design Week 2019.

The renowned Tripostal exhibition space in the centre of Lille. First Light was on show from May till November 2021 and has been seen by some 100’000 visitors.

First Light by video artist Georg Lendorff immerses visitors in a sea of motion, lights and shapes. You could stay there all night!
