Goelia Modeschau — Georg Lendorff

Goelia Fashion Show

Guangzhou Opera House

Conceptual design and realisation of the visuals for the spring/summer 2013 Goelia Fashion Show. Goelia is a major Chinese brand focussing on young urban fashion as well as operating a chain of outlets throughout Asia and in some European regions.

A 50 metre LED wall covering the full length of the catwalk represented the centrepiece of the show. The event was witnessed by an audience of 1000 in the famous new Guangzho Opera House designed by Zaha Hadid.

Inspired by the city of Paris in line with the motto of the assortment, the visuals depicted the iconic emblems of the French capital as well as the oblique everyday life of the city in a vibrant, poetic manner. The shooting was carried out over a period of three weeks during the summer of 2012.

The extremely high resolution of more than 8000 pixels (8K) was achieved by applying a combination of diverse compositing and animation techniques using both videos and photographies as base material. Due to the high detail reproduction capacities and exceptional image quality of the LED screen, the models merged perfectly with the background, apparently moving through the city sceneries of Paris.
