Konzert und Theater St.gallen – The tempest

Project by Michel Schröder based on William Shakespeare

The Tempest was created as a co-production between the St.Gallen Theatre and the Komiktheater, a professional ensemble of people with disabilities. Michael Schröder has made a name for himself with radical, anarchic and experimental productions and developed The Tempest together with the disabled and non-disabled performers from both ensembles. The performances were celebrated enthusiastically and were completely sold out. The Tempest was invited to the Schweizer Theatertreffen.

For the first time in the 200-year history of Switzerland's oldest professional theatre, actors with disabilities are on stage in St.Gallen: it was a long wait, but it was worth it.

In Michel Schröder's production, eight actors and actresses celebrate an anarchic, wild festival of togetherness, of humanity - of life.
